In the early noughties having worked with both the Michelin and Bridgestone tyre companies in senior positions, our CEO Robert Ferguson saw a gap in the market. It was during his travels around the country Robert pondered incessantly and began to realise the motor trade was lacking an outlet that offered exceptional knowledge, great value and above all, a supreme customer service experience. It was then, in September 2005 lightning struck, Discount Tyre & Autocare was born. Located near to Blanchardstown in North Dublin, Discount Tyre & Autocare to date has become one of the biggest tyre and vehicle service outlets in the Dublin region selling 1000’s of tyres and servicing 100’s of vehicles every year.

As a fully qualified mechanic you will be an essential part of our servicing and vehicle maintenance team. Your role will involve general vehicle servicing and maintenance, NCT repairs, brakes, suspension, timing belts, clutches etc. on car, van and 4x4 vehicles. You'll also be required to troubleshoot mechanical and computer diagnostic issues.
Experience is essential and a verifiable minimum of 5 years with great references is expected, as is a full clean Irish driving licence. We provide ongoing training and adherence to our methodology and policies is essential.

Salary - from €33,000 to €40,000 depending on competence

As a workshop supervisor you will be responsible for the planning and scheduling of all jobs conducted in our workshop on a daily basis. Reporting to our service manager your role will involve managing and coaching a team of vehicle technicians, making sure jobs are completed on time and targets and business objectives are met, liasing with customers in person and by phone whilst providing a high level of customer satisfaction, scheduling work to achieve workshop targets, giving consideration to the complexity of each job and the availability of parts, making sure all work is carried out correctly, competently and on time, with customer satisfaction in mind.
Experience is essential with a minimum of 5 years experience in similar role with great references is expected, as is a full clean Irish driving license. We provide ongoing training and adherence to our methodology and policies is essential.

As a tyre fitter you will immediately become a key member of our team. Your role will initially involve repairing or replacing tyres and keeping allotted areas clean and tidy. Although your role will not stop there! There are many opportunities and possibilities for progression in our workshop for diligent workers. There is also fantastic opportunities to move over into our mobile tyre division if you've got what it takes!
Two years experience is an explicit requirement. A full clean Irish driving licence is also required. This role is Monday to Saturday with Sunday and one weekday off.
